AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
CALIFORNIA, REPEALING CHAPTER 1.08 OF THE BEAUMONT MUNICIPAL
CODE, AND ADDING NEW CHAPTER 1.08 TO THE BEAUMONT MUNICIPAL
CODE ADOPTING A CITY SEAL
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Chapter 1.08 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2: Chapter 1.08 is hereby added to the Beaumont
Municipal Code to read as follows:
SECTION 1.08.010: The City Seal of the City of
Beaumont shall bear the inscription at the top "City of Beaumont,
Ca.", and underneath it the word "Seal", and shall be inscribed
around the bottom with the words "Incorporated Nov. 18, 1912", and
shall have a cluster of cherries in the center.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
days after its final passage and within fifteen (15) days after
its passage the City Clerk shall cause a summary to be published
in the Record -Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, in the
manner prescribed by law for publishing of Ordinances of said
City.

1992.

CERTIFY, that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of said City held on April 13
1992, and was duly adopted upon second reading on April 27
1992, upon the following roll call vote:
AYES: Council Member Brey, McLaughlin, Parrott, Russo and
Mayor Leja.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSENT: None.
