HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 715ORDINANCE NO. 715 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, PREZONING 59.2 ACRES OF LAND FROM COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE R-1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL), R -A (RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURE), R- 3 (GENERAL RESIDENTIAL), AND C1 -CP (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) TO CITY OF BEAUMONT R -SF (RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY), R -A (RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURE) AND R -MF (RESIDENTIAL -MULTIPLE FAMILY). (93-RZ-1). LOCATION: ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDE OF EIGHTH STREET BETWEEN ILLINOIS AVENUE AND XENIA AVENUE, AND ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF EIGHTH STREET AND HIGHLAND SPRINGS AVENUE. (93-ANX-1-52). WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has initiated the annexation of 36.6 acres along Eighth Street, between Illinois Avenue and Xenia Avenue, and 22.6 acres at the northwest corner of Eighth Street and Highland Springs Avenue; and WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont desires to provide for an orderly corporate boundary and for the provision of full sewer and urban services to the subject area; and WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) of the County of Riverside requires that a City prezone property prior to the filing of an annexation application; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing as required by law was conducted by the Beaumont City Council on the 26th day of April, 1993 on said prezoning; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Upon recordation of the Certificate of Completion of Annexation 93-ANX-1-52 by the Local Agency Formation Commission, the Beaumont Zoning Map shall be amended to read: (consistent with Exhibit "C" attached hereto) SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its final passage and within fifteen (15) days after its passage the City Clerk shall cause a summary to be published in the Record Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Beaumont, in the manner prescribed by law for publishing of Ordinances of said City.
