HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 733ORDINANCE 733 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, PREZONING 320 ACRES OF LAND FROM COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE W-2 (CONTROLLED DEVELOPMENT), TO CITY OF BEAUMONT R -SF (RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY) (93-RZ-7). LOCATION: AT THE SOUTHERLY TERMINUS OF HIGHLAND SPRINGS AVENUE, SOUTHEASTERLY OF THE EXISTING BEAUMONT CORPORATE LIMITS (93-ANX-2-54) WHEREAS, the Applicant has requested the annexation of 320 acres located at the terminus of Highland Springs Avenue southwesterly of the current Beau;mont Corporation limits; and WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont desires to provide for an orderly corporate boundary and for the provision of full urban services to the subject area; and WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) of the County of Riverside requires that a City prezone property prior to the filing of an annexation application; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing as required by law was conducted by the Beaumont City Council on the 25th day of October, 1993 on said prezoning. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Upon recordation of the Certificate of Completion of Annexation 93-ANX-2-54 by the Local Agency Formation Commission, the Beaumont Zoning Map with respect to the subject property legally described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, shall be amended to read: R -SF (RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMLILY) SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its final passage within fifteen (15) days after its passage the City Clerk shall cause a summary to be published in the Community Adviser, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Beaumont, in the manner prescribed by law for publishing of Ordinances of said City.
