AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
CALIFORNIA, REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT TO ACHIEVE CONSISTENCY WITH THE GENERAL PLAN
LAND USE ELEMENT (94-RZ-3).
APPLICANT: CITY OF BEAUMONT
LOCATION: CITY-WIDE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont has adopted
a General Plan and Land Use Element in accordance with California
Government Sections 65300-65403; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 65860 requires that zoning
must be in accordance with the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, in adopting a Comprehensive General Plan Update in
February of 1993, the City Council certified an Environmental
Impact Report pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act
to provide full disclosure of the environmental consequences of
buildout in accordance with the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed consistency zoning is in accordance
with the General Plan and was addressed as part of the General
Plan's Environmental Impact Report and, further, that adoption of
a Negative Declaration is warranted for this subsequent action;
and
WHEREAS, the Beaumont Planning Commission conducted a public
hearing at its meeting on January 3, 1995 and recommended City
Council approval of the consistency zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Beaumont City Council conducted a public hearing
at its meeting on January 23, 1995; and
WHEREAS, notice of both public hearings was published in a
newspaper of general local circulation at least twenty-one (21)
days in advance of each hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Beaumont Zoning Map is hereby amended
consistent with Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
after its final passage. Within fifteen (15) days after its
passage the City Clerk shall cause a summary to be published in
the Community Adviser, a newspaper of general circulation, printed
and published in the City of Beaumont, in the manner prescribed by
law for publishing of Ordinances of said City.

No. 751 was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City on January 23, 1995 and was duly adopted by the City
Council at a regular meeting of the City Council on February 14,
1995 by the following vote:
