Not specific to one area • Need to bring something to the table that will be extreme • Need to add more officers to the Force Demery Bishop • Need to address the crux of the problem Lisa Lepofsky • All perception is beach goers feel that they can do anything and not prosecuted Dave Ason • Feels we need to control the crowds, alcohol may be secondary Keith Gay • Challenge are the day trippers • If ordinance is in place, how would it be enforced? Demery Bishop • Other municipalities such as Hilton Head have an ordinance on banning of alcohol • Fort Myers has "no containers" on beach • Need to invite other municipalities to our meeting to discuss Chief Bryson • Don't want to check bags prior to going on the beach • Need to work together as a community as the result will be infectious • Will bring actual arrest numbers for the past three years regarding alcohol to next meeting Demery Bishop • Dealing with a change of culture • Invite other municipalities to speak to the group concerning ban on drinking Next meeting, July 23, 2015 3:30PM — Public Safety Building
