The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met November 5, 2014, in the Small Conference
Room of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was called to order by Bill
Luebbert at 5:05 p.m.
Approval of Minutes for September 3, 2014 Meeting
A motion was made by Chris Bruemmer and seconded by Sam Thomas to approve the minutes
of the September 3, 2014 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands.
Review License Applications
The following exam or license applications were voted on:
• Travis VanLoo — A motion to approve for Journeyman exam was made by Sam Thomas
and seconded by Dave Steinman. Passed by show of hands.
• Joshua Sandbothe — A motion to approve for Journeyman exam was made by Ray Fink
and seconded by Dave Steinman. Passed by show of hands.
• Kevin Perley — A motion to approve for Masters license was made by Dave Steinman
and seconded by Chris Bruemmer. Passed by show of hands.
• Timothy Thomure — A motion to approve for Masters license was made by Jim Gooch
and seconded by Ray Fink. Passed by show of hands.
New Business
• Update on 2014 Code Adoption — Eric Barron gave an update on the 2014 Code
Adoption and reported that this is scheduled to take place in the Spring/Summer of
2015.
• Concern of Having One Contractor being Licensed in both the Electrical and
Plumbing Trades. — Austin Tipton has a contractor's license in both the Electrical and
Plumbing trades. It was discussed that while working in one trade, he should have a
Journeyman working in the other.
Schedule Next Meeting
The next meeting was tentatively set for January 7, 2015, 5:00 p.m.
