HomeMy Public PortalAbout20001212minutesCITY OF JEFFERSON PURCHASING COMMITTEE MINUTES OF THE DECEMBER 12, 2000 MEETING PRESENT:Larry Vincent, Councilman Charles Jackson, Councilman Cliff Olsen, Councilman Bill Lockwood, Director of Parks Tom Jones, Director of Wastewater Division Steve Schlueter, Director of Finance ABSENT:Allen Garner, City Counselor The meeting was called to order by Chairman Steve Schlueter at 9:00 A.M. Discussion focused on the various violations pointed out in the Evers audit. In addition, clarifications were sought on some of the rules and regulations that were abused by staff and departments. The next area of discussion centered on the use of the purchase card and any conflicts that arise as a result of confusing instructions. After approximately an hour and a half of discussion several requests were made of the Finance Department. They included: 1. Request for Clarification of Open Purchase Orders vs. Mastercard Purchases. 2. A list of Purchase Cards by department with the spending limits on each. Chairman Schlueter promised the aforementioned material for the next meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, 2001 at 9:00 A.M. in the Conference Room at City Hall. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 11:20 A.M.
