HomeMy Public PortalAbout20010126minutesCITY OF JEFFERSON PURCHASING COMMITTEE MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 26, 2001 MEETING PRESENT:Bill Lockwood, Director of Parks Tom Jones, Director of Wastewater Division Allen Garner, City Counselor Steve Schlueter, Director of Finance ABSENT:Larry Vincent, Councilman Charles Jackson, Councilman Cliff Olsen, Councilman The meeting was called to order by Chairman Steve Schlueter at 10:10 A.M. The first order of business was to finish the discussion about the rules and regulations pertaining to the purchasing cards. Next the committee focused on beginning to identify the specifics of recommendations to take to the full committee. Some of the areas for review were the spending limits, number of purchasing cards, the selection process for contracting with professional firms, local preference and sole source issues. Chairman Schlueter informed the committee members of the full council’s discussion from the previous day regarding the local preference issue. There were some time conflicts with the meeting held today so the committee decided to meet again on Thursday, February 1 at 2:00 P.M. in the conference room. The meeting was adjourned at 11:10 A.M.
