A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH MISALUD, INC.
AND TO THE APPROPRIATION OF $78,500 IN ARPA FUNDING FOR
A 12 MONTH VIRTUAL MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
PILOT PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
WHEREAS, On March 11, 2021, the President of the United States signed the
American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA); and
WHEREAS; The ARPA provided $1.9 trillion in relief funding intended to speed
up the United States recovery from the economic and health effects of the
Coronavirus pandemic; and
WHEREAS, Under the ARPA, Lynwood was awarded $24,400,000 in
Recovery funds; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Lynwood (the "City Council")
approved the Lynwood Economic & Community Enhancement Plan February 1,
2022; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified a Medical & Mental Health Services pilot
program that was not included in the Lynwood Economic & Community Enhancement
Plan that will require amendments to ensure proper funding levels; and
WHEREAS, as a result, staff is recommending the following proposed budget
adjustments, which will amend the Lynwood Economic & Community Enhancement
Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares
that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as
findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. By adoption of this resolution, the City Council approves the
Proposed Budget Adjustments and hereby amends the Lynwood Economic &
Community Enhancement Plan.
