A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING
THE SOLICITATION OF BIDS FOR THE WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT
PROJECT FY 23-24 (PROJECT NO. 4011.68.134)
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has received plans and specifications for the
Water Main Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, the Project scope of work consists of water main installation, water main
replacement, temporary high -lining, fire hydrants, water service, pavement restoration, and
partial replacement of concrete sidewalks, curb and gutters, and driveways approaches;
and
WHEREAS, the Project was delayed due to a lack of funding in Fiscal Year (FY)
22-23 for bidding and awarding a contract; and
WHEREAS, FY 23-24 has funds reserved for the Water Main Replacement Project
FY 23-24; and
WHEREAS, the City's FY 23-24 CIP budget includes $1,400,000 of the following
funds for this project: LUA 2017-A Revenue Bonds - $1,110,000, LUA 2020-A Revenue
Bonds - $290,000; and
WHEREAS, the estimated project expenditure has a total cost of $1,260,000; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the issuance of a
Notice Inviting Bids to obtain bids from a qualified contractor to complete the Water Main
Replacement Project FY 24 (Project No. 4011.68.134).
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares that the
foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporates them herein as findings and as
substantive part of this resolution.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the plans and specifications for The Water
Main Replacement Project FY24.
Section 3. That the City Council authorizes staff to solicit a Notice Inviting Bids
for The Water Main Replacement Project FY24.
Section 4. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of
the City of Lynwood.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and hereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
