Councilman Presents the following Ordinance Seconded by Councilman
ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $584,519 RECEIVED AS A GRANT
FROM THE NEW JERSEY EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES AUTHORITY
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW LIBRARY AND SENIOR CITIZENS
CENTER IN AND BY THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, IN THE COUNTY
OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH
OF CARTERET, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. $584,519 received as a grant from the New Jersey Educational
Facilities Authority is hereby appropriated as follows: $100,000 is appropriated as a
supplemental appropriation for the completion of the construction of a new library
and Senior Citizens Center by the construction of additions and renovations to the
building facilities on land acquired or to be acquired by the Borough, including all
work necessary therefor or incidental thereto as described in ordinances #95-16 of
the Borough finally adopted April 6, 1995, #97-37 finally adopted November 6,
1997 and #98-28 finally adopted June 18, 1998 in and by the Borough of Carteret, in
the County of Middlesex, New Jersey, and $484,519 is hereby appropriated as
reimbursement to the Borough for such costs.

Section 2. The capital budget of the Borough of Carteret is hereby
amended to conform with the provisions of this ordinance to the extent of any
inconsistency herewith. The resolution in the form promulgated by the Local
Finance Board showing full detail of the amended capital budget and capital
program as approved by the Director of the Division of Local Govermnent Services
is on file with the Clerk and is available there for public inspection.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect as provided by the law.
