A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A TASK ORDER FOR REPLACEMENT OF SOLIDS
HANDLING POLYMER BLEND UNITS AT THE WATER POLLUTION
CONTROL FACILITY TO FJ INDUSTRIAL IN THE AMOUNT OF
$100,751
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg ("the Town") owns and operates a wastewater
treatment plant; and
WHEREAS, the Solids Handling Polymer Blend Units are beyond their useful life; and
WHEREAS, the replacement of Solids Handling Polymer Blend Units are funded and
approved in the Fiscal Year 2020 budget as a 3R (Repair, Replacement and Rehabilitation)
project; and
WHEREAS, the estimated contract proposal for the upgrade project is $100,751; and
WHEREAS, The Town of Leesburg has an existing contract for On Call Mechanical
Services contract with FJ Industrial: and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the On Call Mechanical Services contract, projects in
excess of $100,000 must be approved by Town Council; and
WHEREAS, FJ Industrial has provided a task order quote in the amount of $100,751 for
purchase and installation.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to execute a proposal under the existing On Call
Mechanical Services contract with FJ Industrial, in a form approved by the Town Attomey, in the
amount of $100,751 for the Replacement of Solids Handling Polymer Blend Units.
