A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY
BISCAYNE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY
RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF THE VILLAGE
OF KEY BISCAYNE ZONING MAP, ATTACHED
HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Key Biscayne provides that a Zoning
Map will be prepared and adopted to implement the goals and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Village Council sitting as the Local Planning Agency has determined that
the Miami -Dade County Zoning Map, currently in effect, does not meet the needs of the Village and
desires to replace same; and
WHEREAS, the Village has held numerous Workshop Meetings and obtained extensive
input and participation by the public through these meetings; and
WHEREAS, the Village Manager has presented and recommended the adoption of Zoning
Map that will preserve the public health, safety and welfare of the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council, sitting as the Local Planning Agency, has held a public
hearing and has recommended adoption of the Zoning Map to the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has held public hearings upon the adoption of the Zoning
Map pursuant to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Village's procedures and Section 166.041, Fla. Stat.,
public notice has been given of the public hearings for the proposed adoption of this Resolution
adopting the Zoning Map; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council sitting as the Local Planing Agency finds that it is in the
best interests of the health, safety and welfare of the residents and property owners of the Village of
Key Biscayne to adopt the attached Zoning Map.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Local Planning Agency recommends that the Village Council adopt the
attached Zoning Map.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
