Councilman Presents the following Ordinance Seconded by Councilman
ORDINANCE REAPPROPRIATING $484,519 TO PROVIDE FOR
IMPROVEMENTS TO BOROUGH HALL IN AND BY THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERET, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE
BOROUGH OF CARTERET, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW
JERSEY (not less than two-thirds of all members thereof
affirmatively concurring) AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section It is hereby determined that $484,519 of
the originally made available pursuant to bond
ordinances #95-16, 97-37, 92-28, and 03-03 of the
Borough of Carteret, in the County of Middlesex, New
Jersey finally adopted April 6, 1995, November 6, 1997,
June 18, 1998 and February 20, 2003 is no longer
necessary for the purposes of construction of a new
library and senior citizens center for which the
obligations previously were authorized.
1. Section The $484,519 described in Section 1 and
made available pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:2-39 is hereby

reappropriated to provide for the improvements to the
Borough Hall Municipal Building, including all work
necessary therefor or incidental thereto.
2. Section The capital budget of the Borough of
Carteret is hereby amended to conform with the
provisions of this ordinance to the extent of any
inconsistency herewith. The resolution in the form
promulgated by the Local Finance Board showing full
detail of the amended capital budget and capital program
as approved by the Director of the Division of Local
Government Services is on file with the Clerk and is
available there for public inspection.
3. Section This ordinance shall take effect as
provided by law.
