A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA APPROVING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH EDGESOFT,
INC. TO PROVIDE SOLAR APP IMPLEMENTATION
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood awarded a Professional Service Agreement with
Edgesoft on February 21, 2023 to implement a new Permitting software system; and
WHEREAS, Edgesoft Inc. advisors represents that they are fully qualified to
perform such services by virtue of its experience and the training, education and expertise
of its principals and employees; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain the expertise, knowledge, implementation
services, project management support, advisory support provided by Edgesoft to ensure
a seamless permitting system.
WHEREAS, this amendment will support and assist with implementation and
project management of the solar application, assist with the complexities of
incorporating the application with the Lynwood citizens portal and permitting system.
NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares
that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings
and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. That the Lynwood City Council approve a first amendment to the
Edgesoft, Inc. professional services agreement to provide continued implementation
services, project management support and advisory support for the installation of the
Solar App. The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute an amended agreement in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. The total cost for the services pursuant to the first amendment
shall not exceed $31,000, which will be covered from the California Energy
Commission Grant of $60,000.
Section 4. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Resolution for and on
behalf of the City of Lynwood.
Section 5. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
