HomeMy Public PortalAbout2023.093 (08-15-2023)RESOLUTION NO. 2023.093 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A THREE (3) YEAR AGREEMENT WITH ALL CITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO PROVIDE CROSSING GUARD SERVICES TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD WHEREAS, The City currently contracts to provide crossing guard services at designated locations at and around schools throughout the city; and WHEREAS, on June 22, 2023, staff issued and advertised a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Crossing Guard Services, as well as solicited interested vendors; and WHEREAS, the deadline to respond to the RFP was July 24, 2023, in which the city received four (4) proposals; and WHEREAS, after careful review and consideration of all proposals, staff has determined that All City Management Services (ALMS) is the service provider best qualified to perform and provide crossing guard services and meet the level of service expectations for the City of Lynwood; and WHEREAS, ALMS was the previous crossing guard service provider and did an excellent job; and WHEREAS, ALMS has provided crossing guard services to the City of Lynwood since 2011. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution. Section 2. The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute a three (3) year agreement with ALMS in a form approved by the City Attorney to perform and provide crossing guard services to the City of Lynwood at the following yearly pay schedule: a. Year One: $345,227 b. Year Two: $364,045 c. Year Three $383,927 Section 3. The term of the Agreement for crossing guard services will be for three years and will commence on August 15, 2023 and expire on June 30, 2026. Section 4. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Lynwood. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council Resolution. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED the 15th day of August 2023.
