Nine persons attended as follows: BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT (7) STAFF PRESENT (2) Mr. Rick Derks (Vice-Chair) Chief Roger Schroeder Ms. Kelly Dillon (Chair) Lt. Jeff Stiefermann Ms. Lisa Turner (Secretary) Mr. George Minze Mr. Ray Bledsoe Bill Burton Wesley Dickman Following greetings, roll call was taken. New Board Member - Mr. Wesley Dickman was introduced to the Board and was welcomed by all. Approval of November 6, 2014 minutes It was moved by Dillon and seconded by Minze that the minutes for the November 6th meeting be approved. The motion was carried unanimously. Old Business: Hiring Update – Chief Schroeder announced that currently we have all open positions filled except one communications position. Lt. Stiefermann announced three officers and one communications personnel started on Monday, Dec. 8th, and three more will start on December 22nd. Chief Schroeder stated that a candidate for the remaining communications position is in the final stage of the interview process. The final decision will be announced at the next Board meeting. New Business: The city approved a 2% increase in salary for the department in November, 2014. The city may also approve an additional police officer for 2015. There will be another hiring process next year in late January or early February. Lt. Stiefermann will email potential dates and this will be discussed at the next Board meeting. Next meeting date –The next meeting is January 8, 2015. It was moved by Turner and seconded by Dillon for adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at 12:27 pm. Respectfully, Lisa Turner
