RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
April 7, 1981
Open to the Public w orkshop on Hogan Property
Workshop was called to order by Mayor Leonard, 7:45 p.m. April 7th.
Board present were, Llayton, Bickle, Klancke, Tucker, Richard McDowell,
and Sue Buchheister, Fred Fox, Larry Hartlaub Andy Miller of the press, and
Richard Rooney, representing the Fire Dept.
Fox and Hartlaub briefly discussed with the Board options they felt could be followed
conderning the developments that are comming in to the PC designed for more than
4 units under one roof. Fox stated that a new zone could be created for that area,
language could be changed in the M -1 zoning to allow this use with restrictions as
to units per acre language. Fox will work up some draft language to present to the
Baord.
Fox and Hartlaub briefly explained the means the Town was using concerning the Hogan
annexation and what thoughts had been expressed so far, Mayor Leonard opened this meeting
for public input.
Richard Rooney- Fire District. Wants to have incorperated into the development
critieria standards for fire protection with regards to any design over three stories.
Fire District will require these buildings full sprinklered. Smoke and fire proof
stair well exits, stand pipes and hose cabnits on each floor, batteried powered lights
in the exits wells, monitoring fire dector panel in the main office of the hotels,
fire phone system for each floor. Rooney explained the value for the development to
have this and also for the fire dept. Board expressed desire for these things to be
included into any agreement with Hogan. Clayton stated is was possible that land
would be donated to the fire district from this development or even a station.
As Mr. Rooney was the only public at the meeting the Board went into workshop
session. Public input closed at 8:50 p.m.
