ITEM #1: Call to order (quorum not necessary)
ITEM #2: Topic 1 – Review process
Many nonresidential and attached residential projects are listed as P/C uses in the
permitted use table. This means that if the project is over a certain size, it becomes a
Conditional Use Permit reviewed by the Board of Adjustment. This discussion will focus
on whether the thresholds can be adjusted and include the incentive of staff review IF all
the provisions in Section 6 are met (rather than seeking waivers).
ITEM #3: Topic 2 – Permitted use table
Related to the topic above, there may be some uses that, regardless of their size should be
Conditional Use Permits. These can be identified and the review process amended.
Further, we have discovered a number of uses and definitions that aren’t fully functional
for our purposes. This topic will address matching the use & definition to the right review
process & the right districts & introducing new uses as needed.
ITEM #4: Topic 3 – Submittal requirements & staff processes
This topic is partly informational about some adjustments staff plans to implement on how
they process applications, but there are related implications for the amount and specificity
of information the board receives during review.
