A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A TASK ORDER FOR MECHANICAL WORK
REQUIRED FOR THE UPGRADE PROJECT AT THE WATER
POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY DRYER TO FJ INDUSTRIAL, LLC
IN THE AMOUNT OF $194,675
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg ("the Town") owns and operates a wastewater
treatment plant; and
WHEREAS, the dryer automation and control system upgrade project is a funded and
approved project in the Fiscal Year 2020 budget; and
WHEREAS, the dyer automation and control system replacement parts are expensive if
available and support is limited; and
WHEREAS, the estimated contract proposal for the upgrade project is $194,675; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg has an existing on -call contract for mechanical services
with FJ Industrial, LLC; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the on -call mechanical services contract, projects in excess
of $100,000 must be approved by Town Council; and
WHEREAS, FJ Industrial has provided a task order proposal in the amount of $194,675 for
mechanical work including, but not limited, to bins, ductwork, elevators, reinforcing members,
closing roof opening, installing water lines, installing drain lines related to the complete upgrade of
the dryer automation and control system of the Town's Drum Dryer system.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute a task order under the existing On Call Mechanical
Services contract with FJ Industrial, LLC, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, in the amount

of $194,675.00 for mechanical work including, but not limited to, bins, ductwork, elevators,
reinforcing members, closing roof opening, installing water lines, installing drain lines related to
the complete upgrade of the dryer automation and control system of the Town's Drum Dryer
system.
