RESOLUTION NO. 2019-145 ADOPTED: September 24, 2019
A RESOLUTION: APPROVAL OF A PUBLIC EXHIBIT AT TOWN HALL ENTITLED
"SILENT WITNESS"
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter, the Leesburg
Police Department requested that an exhibit entitled "Silent Witness" be displayed in Town Hall
during October to highlight National Domestic Abuse Awareness Month; and
WHEREAS, the Commission on Public Art was determined to be the appropriate
commission to review this exhibit for recommendation to Town Council;
WHEREAS, the Commission on Public Art has no objections to the "Silent Witness"
exhibit; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council must approve all exhibits displayed on public property.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
approves the "Silent Witness" exhibit for display at Town Hall from October 1, 2019 through
October 31, 2019.
