Plumbing Board of Review & Examiners

Monday, September 22, 2014 — 6:00 p.m.
Members Present:
Gary Michel
Jerry Raithel
David Wright

Council Liaison Present:
Glen Costales, 4`h Ward Councilman
Staff Present:
Eric Barron, Development Services Manager
Call to Order:
Rick Hunt called the meeting to order at 4:45 p.m. A quorum was present.
Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made by David Wright and seconded by Gary Michel to approve the minutes of
the May 20, 2014 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
Topics to Discuss:
a. Submit Applicants Requiring Master or Journeyman Exams — There were four
Journeyman plumbers requesting permission to take the Plumbing Master's Exam. The
Board accepted Matt Haller, Gary Michel, Lucas Stark, and Nicholas Vieth to take the
test.
There was one Apprentice plumber, Brian Roettgen, requesting to take the
Journeyman's test. The Board accepted his application.
b. Use of Pex Pipe Applications — The Board discussed changing the code on allowing
pex pipe to be stubbed out of the walls and through the floor but unanimously decided to
stay with the current code and only allow copper stub -outs.
Old Business:
There was no old business.
New Business:
There was a discussion about Super Inspectors and what that pertained to.
Other Business:
a. Approval of Minutes for the May 20, 2014 Closed Session — A motion to approve the
minutes of the May 20, 2014 Closed Session was made by Gary Michel and seconded
by Jerry Raithel. Motion passed unanimously.
Adjournment:
With no further business Gary Michel moved and Jerry Raithel seconded to adjourn the meeting
at 5:20 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
