A RESOLUTION: SOUTH KING STREET BRIDGE OVER TUSCARORA CREEK REPAIR
PROJECT CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 APPROVAL
WHEREAS, the South King Street Bridge over Tuscarora Creek Repair project is a funded
maintenance project within the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects; and
WHEREAS, the Town awarded a contract to Wunna Contracting of Manassas, Virginia on
November 27, 2018 in the amount of $94,000; and
WHEREAS, the original construction contract value has previously been increased to
$13 8,148 due to additional items discovered in the field and additional services requested by the
Town; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 4 to the construction contract, in the amount of $15,328, is
required to complete construction of the project; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 4 increases the modified construction contract amount by
more than the allowable 25% or $50,000, whichever is greater, as allowed by the Virginia Public
Procurement Act, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects recommends that this
construction change order be approved; and
WHEREAS, no additional funding is needed.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 4 to the contract with Wunna
Contracting in the amount of $15,328, for providing the additional construction work for the South
King Street Bridge over Tuscarora Creek Repair Project for a revised construction contract total of
$153,476.
