HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD15357 BILL NO. 2014-103 SPONSORED BY COUNCILMAN Prather ORDINANCE NO. / 17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, TO ALLOW THE HOLDER OF A STATE ISSUED LIQUOR LICENSE LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE CITY TO OBTAIN A TEMPORARY SALES PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENTS. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 4 (Alcoholic Beverages), Sec. 4-54 (Permit and Fee Requirements for Temporary Locations for Liquor by the Drink) is amended as follows: Sec. 4-54. Permit and fee requirements for temporary locations for liquor by the drink. A. A temporary permit may be issued to caterers and other persons holding a City-issued liquor license to sell intoxicating liquor by the drink at retail for consumption on premises that are located inside the corporate boundaries of the City but at a location other than their official place of business, or those holding a state issued license tic-eases to sell intoxicating liquor by the drink at retail for consumption on the premises that are located outside of the corporate boundaries of the City,pursuant to the provisions of this chapter and in compliance with RSMo. §311.485.1,who wish to furnish provisions and service for use at a particular function. occasion or event at a particular location that is within the corporate boundaries of the City •- - . . - .but not including a"festival", as defined in Chapter 316. RSMo.: Permits granted under this section shall be effective for a period not to exceed seven (7) consecutive days :•- •.•: -: •• ! - .. . which shall authorize the service of alcoholic beverages at such function.occasion or event during the hours at which alcoholic beverages may lawfully be sold or served upon premises licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption in the Citycity.
