A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH DOMINION ENERGY FOR UTILITY
RELOCATIONS FOR THE TUSCARORA CREEK FLOOD
MITIGATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Tuscarora Creek Flood Mitigation project is a fully funded Capital
Project which is primarily financed through local funds; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg has received an estimate from Dominion Energy for
its relocation work in the amount of $176,672.89; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Town's Procurement Policy, Town Council
authorization is required for the Town to enter into agreements that exceed $100,000; and
WHEREAS, the utility relocation costs are within the existing approved budget, and no
additional funding is requested; and
WHEREAS, the utility relocations will be completed during construction.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Dominion Energy for the relocation
of utilities for the Tuscarora Creek Flood Mitigation project.
