A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF AN EASEMENT TO
DOMINION ENERGY VIRGINIA ON TOWN PROPERTY FOR THE
TUSCARORA CREEK FLOOD MITIGATION AND RESTORATION
PROJECT
WHEREAS, to facilitate the construction of the Tuscarora Creek Flood Mitigation and
restoration project a section of the existing Dominion Energy's overhead electric power line will
need to be relocated; and
WHEREAS, the section of Dominion Energy overhead electric power line to be relocated
will be relocated outside of Dominion Energy's existing utility easement; and
WHEREAS, the Virginia Electric and Power Company, doing business in Virginia as
Dominion, Energy Virginia (Dominion Energy) has requested an easement for the section of
overhead electric power line being relocated outside of their existing utility easement; and
WHEREAS, Town staff recommends that the easement be granted to Dominion Energy
for the same; and
WHEREAS, the easement, if granted to Dominion Energy by the Town, will not be a
detriment to Town owned property.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Mayor is authorized to execute the Dominion Energy Right of Way Agreement on a form
approved by the Town Attorney for an electric easement on Town property.
