Take the Tybee Bicycling survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KL9KSJW Summer Means Pedestrians and Bikes! If you are cycling on Tybee, please use the bike route down 2nd Avenue. Cycling on Butler or Jones in heavy seasonal traffic constitutes a significant danger to everyone! If you are driving, remember, cyclists have all the rights of a motor vehicle, and you MUST provide a 3’ distance from the nearest cyclist when passing! Georgia State Law requires that you STOP for pedestrians in all marked cross walks. If someone is crossing or trying to cross in a marked sidewalk, you must stop. It is also illegal to pass a car stopped at a crosswalk – you must assume a pedestrian is crossing. Also remember the speed limit on Butler Ave is 30 MPH from the Curve all the way to Tybrisa. Following our speed limit will help you stop at crosswalks, too! Bicycle Rodeo The Bicycling Rodeo returns Saturday, April 28th, 10am-1pm, at the Old School Cafeteria and parking lot. In conjunction with YMCA's Healthy Kids Day, your children can come by to learn about bicycle skills & safety, including: how to safely fit a bike helmet; bicycle rules of the road; bicycle mechanical safety checklist; cycling navigation and control skills. Application and waiver forms are available at the Tybee Gymnasium check in desk at the YMCA or at City Hall from the Cashier’s Desk. Online Utility Billing is Here!
