All City offices will be closed, with the exception of Ocean Rescue and public safety functions. Have a safe weekend, and thank a vet! Summer Means Pedestrians and Bikes! If you are cycling on Tybee, please use the 2nd Avenue bike route. Cycling on Butler or Jones is a significant danger! If you are driving, remember, cyclists have all the rights of a motor vehicle, and you MUST provide 3’ from the nearest cyclist when passing! Georgia State Law requires that you must STOP for any pedestrians crossing or trying to cross at any marked cross walks. If someone is crossing or trying to cross in a marked sidewalk, you must stop. It is illegal as well to pass a car stopped at a crosswalk – you must assume a pedestrian is crossing. Remember, the speed limit on Butler Ave is 30 MPH from the Curve all the way to Tybrisa. Following our speed limit will help enable you stop at crosswalks, too! Online Utility Billing is Here! Paperless utility billing is now available. If you would like to go paper free, please email utilitybilling@cityoftybee.org and include your name, account number, phone number, and email address to which the bill should be sent. You may also visit the City’s web site article “Opt-in to Electronic Utility Billing” and click the link for an email form. Alternatively, you can contact Nalene Conway at 7864573 x110 to sign up. You may also pay your utility bill online with a credit card (look for the “Online Payments” link), or with an automatic debit application (download the form from the “Downloads > Forms” link).
