WastePro Schedules
WastePro is now picking up recycling every week on Wednesdays in ALL neighborhoods on Tybee. On May 23rd, Council elected to keep the twice weekly trash pick-up schedule that is already
in place.
Residential yard waste should not exceed 5 cubic yards weekly. Dry waste bags can be used for smaller debris, while palm fronds and branches should be tied up in lengths of 3’ or less.
Make arrangements for curbside pick-up of porcelain items, stoves, refrigerators, and large furniture by calling WastePro directly. Such items may be brought to the DPW facility with
proof of residence.
Residential construction debris must fit, lids closed, in waste containers. Tile, cement, or metal which makes the bin too heavy to lift will not be picked up. Large projects should
use a commercial dumpster or be brought (with proof of residence) to DPW.
All large permitted construction projects require an onsite commercial dumpster.
Missed pick-ups, pick-up requests, complaints or commendations may be made by calling WastePro at 912.965.0777 or via the links at http://www.cityoftybee.org/PublicWorks.aspx#2212.
City Hall to Remain Closed on Saturdays
Saturday hours are not heavily used, so City Hall will not be reinstating Saturday hours this summer. The lobby opens every weekday from 7:30 until 5:00. To make a payment, drop it any
time in the secure lockbox just to the right outside of the lobby door.
New Drive-by Automatic Meter Readers
New, drive-by-reading water meters will begin installation during June, proceeding for up to six months until all meters are converted. The new Neptune Water Meters will be installed
by Delta Municipal Supply. Make sure your meters are easily visible and accessible as required by City Ordinance. Thanks for your help!
