ORDINANCE NO. ~b
AN ORIDINANCE DECLARING IT TO BE IN THE
INTEREST OF THE PUBLIC WELFARE AND SAFETY
TO VACATE AND DISCDNTINUE 46th STREET
BETWEEN GLENDALE AND OLIVER IN THE CITY OF
BEL AIRE, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Governing Body
that there has been filed a petition requesting the vacation of
46th Street between Glendale and Oliver in the Lawn Terrace
Addition; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of the City it is desirable to vacate
and discontinue 46th Street between Glendale and Oliver in the
La~ Terrace Addition of Bel Aire, Kansas to promote the public
weVare and safety of the Citizens of Bel Aire, Kansas;
NOW THEREORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
CITY OF BEL AIRE:
Section 1. It is hereby declared to be in the interest of
public welfare and safety to annul, vacate and discontinue 46th
Street between Glendale and Oliver as herein after more fully
described.
Section 2. That the portion of 46th Steet is annulled, vacated
and discontinued as a street as described as follows:
46th St. North from East line of Oliver Street to
West line of Glendale Street as platted in replat
of Lawn Terrace Addition, Sedgwick County, Kansas.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication in the official City publication.
Passed and adopted by the City Council this/~day of April, 1983.
Approved by the Mayor this~day of April, 1983.
