LOT PORTERFIELD AVENUE
WHEREAS the zoning map designates certain real estate on Porterfield Avenue
as R-2 One Family Residence District, and
WHEREAS it is desirable to change the zoning designation to C-2 Commercial
District to accommodate commercial development of the property
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the zoning designation of the real estate at Porterfield Avenue, which is more
particularly described on Exhibit A attached hereto, is hereby changed to C-2 Commercial
District.
Passed and adopted this day 1996, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.

RE: Ordinance No. 8-1996
Dear Council Member:
This ordinance relates to a rezoning request of certain vacant land on Porterfield Avenue
from R-2 One Family Residence district to C-2 District in order to allow the construction of
a roadway across such property to adjoining C-2 property, which is not possible on the
current R-2 zoning. The property is owned by Fred King.
The ordinance should be referred to Plan Commission for public hearing at its meeting on
March 26, 1996.
The ordinance could be back to Council for second reading on April 1, 1996.
