A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
INFOSEND TO PROVIDE ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING AND MAILING
SERVICES FOR THE CITY'S UTILITY BILLS AND VARIOUS OTHER ITEMS
WHEREAS, in early 2021, the City issued a Request for Proposals for Electronic
Data Processing and Mailing Services to assist with the printing, inserting and mailing of
the City's utility bills and other various items; and
WHEREAS, based on three (3) proposals received, reviewed, and evaluated,
InfoSend was awarded the contract; and
WHEREAS, the agreement with InfoSend has not been executed due to unresolved
concerns from the company; and
WHEREAS, in light of the current situation, it is staffs recommendation to revise
the content of the agreement to meet the needs of the City and address InfoSend's
concerns; and
WHEREAS, to meet the needs of the City and address the concerns of InfoSend,
the agreement now reflects a not -to -exceed amount of $60,000; and
WHEREAS, therefore, staff is recommending that the City Council authorize the
Mayor to execute an agreement with InfoSend to provide electronic data processing and
mailing services for the City's utility bills and various other items through June 30, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares that
the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and
as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement with
InfoSend for electronic data processing and mailing services through June 30, 2025,
approved as to form by the City Attorney. The City Council also authorizes the Mayor to
execute this Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Lynwood.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
