AN UNCODIFIED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A ZONE CHANGE
TO CHANGE THE ZONING FOR A 160 ACRE PROJECT SITE
FROM SP (SPECIFIC PLAN ZONING) TO
M -L (LIGHT -MANUFACTURING) (02-RZ-01)
LOCATION: INTERSECTION OF STATE ROUTE 60 AND JACK RABBIT TRAIL
(APN#420-020-001)
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has received an application from the Wyle Labs Testing
Facility to change the zoning for a 160 acre lot to facilitate development of engineering testing
services.
WHEREAS, the current zoning designation for the subject site at the present time is SP,
Specific Plan Zoning; and
WHEREAS, the proposed rezoning action would establish a zoning designation of M -L,
Light -Manufacturing; and
WHEREAS, the Beaumont Planning Commission conducted a duly noticed public hearing
and recommended that the City Council adopt the proposed zone change; and
WHEREAS, the Beaumont City Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing as
required by law on said zone change; and
WHEREAS, the Beaumont City Council adopted Mitigated Negative Declaration No. 02-
ND -01 in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, finding that the proposed
project will not have an adverse impact upon the environment.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Beaumont is hereby amended to
designate the subject property described in attached Exhibit "A" for the following zoning
designation as indicated on Exhibit "A":
M -L (Light Manufacturing)

SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its final passage and
within fifteen (15) days after its passage the City Clerk shall cause a summary to be published in a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Beaumont, in a manner
prescribed by law for publishing of ordinances of said City.
