HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 877ORDINANCE NO. 877 AN UNCODIFIED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A ZONE C 1 NGE TO PRE -ZONE 30 ACRES OF LAND FROM COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE R -A (RESIDENTIAL-AGRICULTURA ) TO CITY OF BEAUMONT R -SF (RESIDENTIAL -SINGLE FAMIL ) (ANNEXATION NO. 04-ANX-03) WHEREAS, the Beaumont Unified School District has requested that the City of Beaumont initiate the annexation of a 30 acre unincorporated area pursuant to the Cortese-Knsx-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000, and said Act requires that propertie which are to be annexed to a City shall be pre -zoned prior to annexation; and WHEREAS, the current zoning designation of the subject site under the ad 'nistration of Riverside County is R -A (Residential Agricultural) and the site is presently vacant; , d WHEREAS, duly noticed public hearings were conducted on this matter as by the Planning Commission on February 8, 2005 and the City Council on March 1, Planning Commission, at its public hearing, recommended that the City Council approv pre -zoning.
