AN UNCODIFIED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A ZONE CHANGE
TO PRE -ZONE 29.09 ACRES OF LAND FROM
COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE R -A (RESIDENTIAL AGRICULATURAL)
TO CITY OF BEAUMONT R -SF (RESIDENTIAL -SINGLE FAMILY)
(ANNEXATION NO. 05-ANX-05)
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has initiated the annexation of a 29.09 acre
unincorporated area pursuant to the Cortese -Knox -Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act
of 2000, and said Act requires that properties which are to be annexed to a City shall be pre -zoned
prior to annexation; and
WHEREAS, the current zoning designation of the subject site, which is presently uninhabited
as defined in State law related to annexations, under the administration of Riverside County is R -A
(Residential Agricultural); and
WHEREAS, duly noticed public hearings were conducted on this matter as required by law
by the Planning Commission on October 11, 2005 and the City Council on October 18, 2005, and the
Planning Commission, at its public hearing, recommended that the City Council approve the proposed
pre -zoning.

FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Oficial 7.oning Map of the City of Beaumont is hernhy amended to
designate the subject property legally described in attached Exhibit "A" for the following zoning
designation:
R -SF (RESIDENTIAL -SINGLE FAMILY)

within fifteen (15) days after its passage the City Clerk shall cause a summary to be published in a
newspaper of general rim ilatinn, printed and nrrhlisherl in the City of Reai,ninnt, in a manner
prescribed by law for publishing of ordinances of said City.

SECTION 3 The City Zoning designations for the subject area shall become
effective upon the recordation of the annexation by the Riverside County Local Agency
Formation Commission.
