A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREMENT TO
INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEERS FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT,
INSPECTION, PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION FOR THE
WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT FY 2024 — PROJECT NO.
4011.68.134 FOR A NOT -TO -EXCEED AMOUNT OF $95,884
WHEREAS, On September 5, 2023, The City Council awarded a contract to
Dominguez General Engineering, Inc. for the Water Main Replacement Project for
FY 24 California Avenue, Fernwood Avenue, and Santa Fe Avenue - Project
4011.68.134; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has contracted on -call professional
engineering services to mobilize projects by streamlining the procurement process
for consultant services, when they are needed; and
WHEREAS, staff submitted a request for Construction Management and
Inspection Services through a solicitation of proposals from the City's pre -approved
list of on -call consultants; and
WHEREAS, Infrastructure Engineers was the sole respondent to submit a
proposal for Construction Management and Inspection Services; and
WHEREAS, the cost for Infrastructure Engineering services is a not -to -
exceed amount of $95,884; and
WHEREAS, cost for these services were included in the project budget and
no additional funds are needed; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding a Professional Services
Agreement to Infrastructure Engineers.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and
declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporates them
herein as findings and as substantive part of this resolution.
Section 2: The City Council of the City of Lynwood approves and authorizes
the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement provided by Infrastructure
Engineers attached hereto as Exhibit A, in a form approved by the City Attorney,
for $95,884.
