A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
AN APPROPRIATION OF $42,600 FROM UNASSIGNED GAS TAX FUND BALANCE
TO COMPLETE STREET IMPROVEMENT DESIGN ON ATLANTIC AVENUE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City is looking for an opportunity to transform Atlantic Avenue
within the City limits to create a more business friendly area; and
WHEREAS, the City would need to obtain funding for the Complete Street
Improvement Design on Atlantic Avenue Project (Project); and
WHEREAS, grant funding is available from Los Angeles County Metropolitan
Transportation Authority (LACMTA) by the Gateway Cities Council of Governments
(GCCOG) through the Technical Advisory Committees; and
WHEREAS, staff submitted a request for service (RFS) for the preparation of a
Project Study Report (PSR) for the Complete Street Improvements on Atlantic Avenue
within the City limits; and
WHEREAS, the PSR is needed in order to be eligible to pursue grant funding; and
WHEREAS, the cost for the preparation of the PSR is $46,200; and
WHEREAS, the Project was identified after the FY 24 budget process; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation from the Unassigned Gas Tax Fund budget is needed
for the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares that
the foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporates them herein as findings and as
substantive part of this resolution.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the budget augmentation transfer.
