Tybee cyclists, please use the 2nd Ave bike route. Cyclists have all the responsibilities of any vehicle! If you are driving, keep in mind: cyclists have all the rights of a motor vehicle, and you MUST provide 3’ space when passing a cyclist! You must STOP for any pedestrians crossing or trying to cross at any marked crosswalks. It is illegal to pass a car stopped at a crosswalk – you must assume a pedestrian is crossing. Remember, the Butler Ave speed limit is 30 MPH from the Curve to Tybrisa. Let out-of-town guests and friends know, too!
