RESOLUTION NO. 2016-066
A RESOLUTION APPROVING LETTER OF SUPPORT REGARDING 2016 IOWA
CLEAN AIR ATTAINMENT PROGRAM (ICAAP) APPLICATION
Whereas,
traffic congestion problems occur in various locations within the City of Tiffin
that could be improved with roadway projects that improve traffic flow, reduce vehicle
miles of travel or reduce single-occupant vehicle trips; and,
Whereas,
traffic on Highway 6 could pass through a roundabout at the intersection of
Highway 6 and Park Road that would relieve congestion AP funds on a competitive
basis to transportation projects that reduce traffic congestion problems and provide air
quality improvements; and,
Whereas,
the MPO of Johnson County has reviewed the ICAAP application for the City
of Tiffin, which has been identified in the Long-Range Transportation Plan; and,
Now, therefore be it resolved
by the MPO of Johnson County hereby supports this
project for the ICAAP funding and declares that the proposed project conforms to the
MPO’s regional transportation planning process and _____
