ORDINANCE NO. 93 -747
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE AS IT
RELATES TO THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Article II, Chapter 6, Part IV of the Temple City Municipal Code is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2. Article II, Chapter 7, Section 2713.2 is hereby amended to read as follows:
2713.2 SUCCESSION OF CITY COUNCIL
Any vacancies in the City Council to be filled pursuant to Section 2713.1 shall be filled by
the members of the City Council able to act, or by the sole remaining member able to act,
from members of the Planning Commission or Community Services Commission who shall
be able to act.
SECTION 3. Article II, Chapter 7, Sections 2713.3.B., C. and D. are hereby amended to read
as follows:
2713.3.B. SUCCESSION OF CITY COUNCIL
If there are not sufficient members of the Planning Commission able to act those, or
anyone, who can act, shall select the remaining members needed from the Community
Services Commission able to act.
2713.3.C.
If there are no members of the Planning Commission able to act the Community Services
shall act.
2713.3.D.
If there are not sufficient members of the Community Services Commission able to act
those who are able to act shall select the remaining Councilmembers from residents of the
City of Temple City.
SECTION 4. Article III, Chapter 3, Part 1, Division 3, Section 3324 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
3324. DETERMINATION.
Upon filing of each application provided for by the preceding section, the City shall cause
to be made such investigation as it may deem proper to ascertain whether such permit
should be granted. If, after the investigation is made, it is determined that there is not
adequate off- street parking space reasonably attainable by the applicant at the place of
his residence for the parking of the vehicle described in the application in the order to
comply with this code, and that the size of the vehicle, i.e. weight, length, height, or width
in relationship to the width of the street does not constitute a safety hazard, an all-night
parking permit shall be granted for all-night parking in such area on the public streets as
shall be designated by the City. If requirements for granting approval do not exist, the
permit shall not be approved.

SECTION 5. Article III, Chapter 3, Part 1, Division 3, Section 3327 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
3327. PERMITS ISSUED SUBJECT TO REVOCATION.
All parking permits issued pursuant to Sections 3322 through 3324 herof shall be subject
to revocation by the City Manager or designee, upon determination that there has been
a sufficient change of circumstances which no longer require the continuance of the permit
previously issued. Any revocation shall be made pursuant to investigation as provided for
in Section 3324 and the holder of any permit shall have the right to appeal any decision
of revocation to the City Council.
All permits shall expire on December thirty -first of each year.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and to
its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in the Pasadena Star News, a
newspaper of general circulation.

4th day of May, 1993, and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved and signed
by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk, at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of May, 1993
by the following vote:

NOES: Councilmember - Breazeal, Wilson
