Michael P Collins - LrAsoN PLAINFIELD BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS MINUTES October 19. 2017 Commissioner Michael Nott called the October l9th, 2017 meeting of the Board of Police Commissioners to order at 6:03 p.m. ln attendance were Commissioner Nott, Commissioner Chapman, Commander Kevin Greco, and Cindie Blazina. Also in attendance were three students from Plainfield North High School. Public Forum-Citizen's Comments- None; Commissioner Noft took a few minutes to introduce the Board of Police Commissioners and its functions to the students in attendance. The minutes of the September 2lst, 2017 meeting were read, and Commissioner Nott moved the minutes to be approved, Commissioner Chapman seconded the motion. All in favor. Correspondence- The 2018 annual renewal for the IL Fire & Police Commissioners Association was presented. The annual fee of$375 was approved by Commissioner Nott, Commissioner Chapman seconded the motion. Old Business- None New Business- Commissioner Nott briefly explained the Police Officer hiring process to the public. The oral interviews for the Top l0 Candidates will be held on October 28th. The Commission discussed the issue of filling out Third Party Candidate Verification requests from other Police Departments. It is not in the Commissions practice to release any confidential information to anyone, and these verification requests will not be fulfilled.
