A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
DMc ENGINEERING TO PROVIDE UTILITY ENGINEERNG SERVICES FOR VARIOUS
WATER AND SEWER PROJECTS FOR FY 23-24 IN THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF
$50,000 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $100,000.
WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, the City Council adopted the City's Biennial Budget
for Fiscal Years 2023-2025 which included the combined Capital Improvement Program
(CIP) for FY 2023-24 and total approved funding of $16.09 million for Water and Sewer
related projects; and
WHEREAS, The Five -Year CIP addresses the City's infrastructure needs over a
planning horizon of five years. Projects proposed in subsequent years will be used for
planning purposes only. Budget approvals will be granted to projects included in the
Biennial Adopted Budget or as amended by the City Council on a project -by -project basis
throughout the year. and
WHEREAS, on December 05, 2023, the City Council approved selected
consultants for On -Call Professional Engineering Services including DMc Engineering to
provide Utility Engineering Support Services to the City of Lynwood's Public Works
Department; and
WHEREAS, these services are an essential part in maintaining the City's workflow
for day-to-day operations and CIP planning, coordination, and construction related to the
City's water and sewer system and reports to the Director of Public Works to coordinate
efforts and receive direction; and
WHEREAS, staff requested DMc Engineering to provide assistance on various
water and sewer projects; and
WHEREAS, DMc Engineering can provide these services for the amount of
$50,000; and
WHEREAS, funding for these services will come from the Water Fund Account
6051.45.450.62015 and the associated CIF Professional Services Fund 62015. There will
be no additional cost to the general fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares
that the foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporates them herein as findings
and as substantive part of this resolution.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the proposal provided by DMc
Engineering for an additional amount of $50,000 for a total not to exceed amount of
$100,000.
Section 3. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of
the City of Lynwood.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
hereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
