HomeMy Public PortalAbout2024.012 (02-06-24)RESOLUTION NO. 2024.012 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA -GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES (CAL-OES) FORM 130. WHEREAS, the State of California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) requires non -state agencies to execute a Designation of Subrecipient's Agent Resolution Form 130 (Cal OES Form 130); and WHEREAS, the Cal OES Form 130 must be approved by resolution from the non - state agency Governing Body; and WHEREAS, an executed Cal OES Form 130 allows the City of Lynwood (City) to file and engage with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Cal OES for grants and disaster assistance applied for by the City; and WHEREAS, the Cal OES Form 130 allows for three titles as authorized agents of the non -state agency; and WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes the City Manager, Director of Public Works, and the Director of Community Development as its agents to execute for and on behalf of the City; and WHEREAS, an executed Cal OES Form is effective for all open and future disasters and grants up to three years following the date of approval; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporates them herein as findings and as substantive part of this resolution. Section 2. That the above recitations are true and correct; and (a) That the City Council is authorized, on behalf of the City, to empower the City Manager, Director of Public Works, and the Director of Community Development as its agents to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lynwood with Cal OES for State grants and disaster assistance; and (b) The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a Cal OES Designation of Subrecipient's Agent Resolution Form 130. Section 3. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Lynwood. Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and hereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of February 2024.
