HomeMy Public PortalAboutMinutes - 5/27/2008 The Wellsburg City Council met in special session May 27, 2008with Mayor Fox presiding and Council Members Buseman, Lindaman, Nielsen and Van Heiden present. Absent Van Hauen.
At 7:05 p.m. the Mayor opened the public hearing regarding the FY 2008 budget amendment. Being there were no oral or written objections the Mayor declared the public hearing close
at 7:10 p.m. Motion by Lindaman second by Van Heiden to approve the FY 2008 budget amendment as presented. All ayes, carried.
Discussion of current city utility rates. Utility rates will be increased July 1, 2008 with an annual increase built into the new ordinance. First reading of the ordinance change
will be on June 2, 2008.
Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to approve the contract for Mosquito Control of Iowa. All ayes, carried.
Discussion of Washington Street resurfacing.
Motion by Lindaman second by Buseman to sell the alley north of The Town House Supper club to Terry Town. Cost to be $5000.00 plus all legal fees. All ayes, carried.
