HomeMy Public PortalAbout2019-01 Amending Ordinance 2017-7 which adopted the budget for fiscal year 2017-2018ORDINANCE NO. 2OI9-I AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2017.7 \ilHICH ADOPTED THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2OI7.2OI8 BY REVISING THE 2OI7.2OI8 FISCAL YEAR OPERATING BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 200.065, Florida Statutes, on October 10,2017, the Village Council of the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") adopted Ordinance No. 2017- 7 approving the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Budget; and WHEREAS, upon the periodic review and analysis of current budgetary commitments and obligations, and based upon the projected needs and requirements of the Village and upon the recommendations of the Village Manager and the concuffence of the Interim Chief Financial Officer as to accounting principles, it is deemed necessary to adjust, amend and implement the 2017-2018 Operating Budget as set forth in Exhibit "A," attached hereto; and \THEREAS' the Village Council finds that adoption of this Ordinance is in the best interest and welfare of the Village and its residents. NO\il' THEREF'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF'KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:' Section 1. Recitals. That the above-stated recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this reference. Section 2.Amendins Ordinance No. 2017-7. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the amendment of Ordinance No. 2017-7,which Ordinance adopted a budget for the 2017 -2018 fiscal year, by revising the 2017 -201 8 budget as set forth on the attached Exhibit o'4," which exhibits are deemed incorporated by reference as though set forth in full herein. Section 3. Implementation. That the V illage Manager is hereby authorized to take any and all action necessary to implement the purpose of this Ordinance. Section 4. Effective Date. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final adoption on second reading and shall be applicable retroactively from and after October 1,2017.
