AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF 2003 C'~iEVROLET
SILVERADO 3500 MODEL
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires a new 2003 Chevrolet Silverado
truck to serve the residents of the community; and
WItEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received two bid
proposals for the purchase of the vehicle as follows:
1. Flemington Chevrolet $24, 611.54
2. Multi Chevrolet $23, 371.00
WBEREAS, Multi Chevrolet submitted the lowest bid for said equipmem as
evidenced by the response on file with the Borough Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purchase; and
WItEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has reviewed the above bid
proposals and has recommended the award ora contract to Multi Chevrolet.
NOW T~CREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Multi Chevrolet to furnish one (1) 2003
Chevrolet Silverado 3500 for the sum of $23,371.00, in accordance in all
respects with the request for proposals and bid on same.
Adopted this 6th day of March, 2003
and certified as a true copy of the
original on March 7th,2003
