Airport Master Plan
The AMP project continues. Drafts of the introduction, socioeconomic and inventory chapters are completed. The draft forecast chapter has been reviewed by Staff and will be available
to the public at the website: https://www.to-engineersprojectinfo.com/jobs/1550/details/mccall-municipal-airport-master-plan The draft forecast chapter needs Federal Aviation approval.
Work has begun on Chapter 5, Facility Requirements.
The first meeting of the Technical Advisory group will be scheduled in October. A public meeting will be scheduled shortly after the Technical Advisory meeting.
The project team is continuously seeking public input which will become part of the Master Plan. Seven comments have been received. The link to provide input is located at the www.mylmasterplan.com
website.
United States Forest Service
The USFS is almost complete with repairs and upgrades to facilities on the airport’s west side.
The major portions of the project are complete. Remaining construction items to be completed include items such as: installing access gates, markings, and fencing.
The project should be completed in the next few weeks.
FY21 Airport Improvement Project (AIP)
Preliminary planning has begun on the FY21 AIP Project. Staff plans to request Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funding to design and construct an East-West taxiway to replace
the recently removed “Diagonal Taxiway”. The taxiway will improve traffic circulation to the businesses on the northeast ramp.
A decision has not been made by the FAA concerning funding.
