AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PHASE H MANHOLE
REFIABILITATION
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has publicly advertised for the
receipt of bids for the Phase II Manhole Rehabilitation Project; and
WI~EREAS, the Borough has solicited and received seven (7) bid
proposals for the required manhole/sewer work as follows:
1. Allstate Power Vac $154,537.00
2. National Water Main Cleaning Co. $159,815.00
3. PIM Corporation $169,128.00
4. Montana Construction $ 208,075.00
5. Marvec Construction $ 201,815.00
6. Swerp, Inc. $ 232,678.00
7. DeFine Contracting, Co. $ 247,506.00
W~IEREAS, Allstate Power Vac of NJ has submitted the lowest bid for
the selected options for said contract as evidenced by the response on file with the
Borough's Engineer and Purchasing Department; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals
and has recommended the award ora corm'act to Allstate Power Vac; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial officer has certified that funds are or will
be available for said purpose.
NOW TI]EREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with Allstate Power Vac for the
Phase li Manhole Rehabilitation Project for the sum of
$154,537.00, in accordance in all respects with the request for
proposals and bid on same.
