Weather: October weather was mild, and we were able to keep the course open through the end of the month. 2. Staff: At the end of October, we had 3 full time staff plus 4 seasonal staff of which one is part time. We had one person work the last half on the month doing community service. 3. Greens: Greens have healed nicely, and we did a light top dressing to smooth them out. 4. Club House: Nothing has happened at the clubhouse and everyone seems to be too busy. I am still waiting on engineering to work on the ramp and will plan to re-roof next summer. 5. Revenue: Revenue for October is up compared to last year as we were open through the end of the month instead of having snow on the ground and closed by October 19 like in 2019. October revenue last year was $6,995 compared to this October of $37,279 a very nice start to next year. 6. Equipment Maintenance: Calvin started pressure washing equipment and grinding reels. 7. Restaurant: Banyans was slow that last half of the month. They will close for the first 10 days of November to deep clean and then will open again on their winter hours/days Thursday through Sunday. Monthly Department Report – Golf Course 8. Asset Management/Master Plan: The Golf Advisory Committee discussed how to fund projects in the Master Plan at their last meeting. Part of the discussion was how to raise more money to go towards the plan. More to come. 9. Tees: We aerified, seeded, top dressed and fertilized all the tees in October. 10. Irrigation: We blew out the irrigation system October 22nd and 23rd. Had a problem with the compressor that we rented but new fuel filters solved the problem and we were able to get finished. We will be replacing the culvert and head gate for the main irrigation pond that has rusted out now that the course is closed and can let the water level down.
