Subject: Water -23 North Hidden Harbour Drive
Dear Mr. Thrasher:
Slightly before 8:00 a.m. this morning our water was abruptly interrupted,
where not even a trickle could be seen. Unfortunately for me, I was in the
shower with hair lathered.
The source of the disruption is unknown to us. However, the duration was
reasonably short.
I normally shave in the shower, but since there was no water, that luxury
escaped me this a.m.
Moments ago I went into our bathroom to "heat my face" and shave. The
water was almost mahogany in color. Needless to say, I found this frightening.
Would you kindly provide a detailed explanation as to the source of the
disruption; and what tests are being done to assure myself and the other
residents of Gulf Stream that the 'water is safe for all purposes. I assume that
you will handle this without delay. I ask that you confirm that you are
performing the appropriate tests; and identifying the tests for my benefit, as I
may wish to have my own consultant test the water. Also, I would like to know
the vendor or vendors who will be performing the testing and their timing.
By copy of this E -Mail to the Board of Health, I am alerting them as to this
problem which, in my mind, could be very serious and needs to be addressed
immediately.
